Blending cinematic storytelling, fashion, culture and modern identity, the film brings the spirit of Marilyn Monroe into the present day - not by recreating her, but by exploring what her story represents to a new generation.
Released in the year marking 100 years since Marilyn Monroe's birth, Barefoot to Hills celebrates her enduring influence while exploring how her story continues to resonate a century later.
The project has already received official recognition from the City of Los Angeles and had its public international release on 29.10.26.

OFFICIALLY HONOURED BY THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES
Barefoot to Hills received official recognition from the City of Los Angeles following its Los Angeles premiere, honouring the film's contribution to celebrating the enduring cultural legacy of Marilyn Monroe.
On 3 June 2026, director and producer Ashley Wiggins accepted a Certificate of Recognition at Los Angeles City Hall, presented by Councilwoman Traci Park.
